A Real Example

Why a Five-Star Roofer Was Losing Jobs Online

A roofer in Birmingham with 63 five‑star reviews was getting almost nothing from his website. His customers loved his work, but his website was quietly sending people to his competitors, and he had no idea it was happening.

What the Audit Found

No Way to Ask for a Quote

There was no form on the site. Anyone who didn’t want to call, like someone at work or up late, had no way to reach him.

The Main Button Didn’t Work

On a laptop, the big “Get a Free Inspection” button, the first thing most visitors click, took them nowhere at all.

His Number Was Hard to Find

On a phone, it wasn’t at the top or in the menu. People had to scroll most of the way down a long page to call him.

His Reviews Were Hidden

He had a perfect 5‑star rating from 63 customers. His site showed two of them, and its review numbers didn’t match.

Google Sent People Elsewhere

The two roofers at the top of Google got about 1,400 to 1,700 visitors a month from search. He got about 18 visitors.

AI Search Raised Doubts

An AI tool called him “a relatively young business” because his site and listings disagreed on his years in business.

Why This Matters

Every problem on that list sends a customer who is ready to hire to someone else.

One roofing job can be worth $10,000 or more. If five of those customers leave each month and he’d normally win a third of them, that’s around $15,000 in missed work every month.

An example to show the math, not his actual numbers.

The good news is that none of it needed a new website. Most of the fixes were small. The hard part was seeing the site the way his customers did.

Questions

Fair Questions Before You Send Your Site

Why is it free?

I’m taking on new clients, and the fastest way to show you how I work is to do some of it. If the report is useful and you want help fixing things, we can talk. If not, that’s fine too.

What if this week is already full?

Send it anyway. You’ll be first in line for the next week, and I’ll email you to let you know when to expect it.

Do you need my logins or passwords?

No. I review your site the same way your visitors see it. You never have to give me access to anything.

I already have a web person. Is this still useful?

Yes. The report is written so you can hand it straight to whoever manages your site. Plenty of owners use it to get a second opinion.

Will you spam me or add me to a mailing list?

No. I won’t spam you, and I won’t add your email address to any list. I’ll use it once, to send your report. If you want to talk after that, you reach out to me.

Your Website Should Be Bringing You Business

If it isn’t, tell me what’s going on. I’ll show you where it’s losing people and what to fix first.
